About Boomer

Boomer is a very handsome 7 year old (we think) coonhound. He loves lounging in the sun, snoozing most of the day, and hanging with his human friends. He only needs about 30 minutes of exercise per day these days, but he still loves to spend hours at the park, sniffing around and meeting people and dogs. Boomer is not super food driven, but does like a good treat, and enjoys playing hide and seek with treats. He's well trained for somebody who knows how to handle a curious hound. He is trained on a remote collar, and has great recall from anywhere across the park or on a hike in the woods. At home he knows how to 'go to his place', and the rest of the basics. Lots of personality, and plenty of life left to chase cats and lick faces. Boomer has a ton of love to give somebody who has room in there heart to give him the home he deserves. Boomer would be best suited for a home with a doggy door with access to open outdoor spaces. Won't consider apartment rehome. Boomer has been a part of our family for 6 years, and we are in tears having to even write this post, but we have a 15 month old toddler who doesn't understand why Boomer doesn't want her tugging his ears and poking his eyes out. He's great with Kids that know how to treat a dog. Really hoping my best friend finds a new best friend.
