About Maverick

Courtesy post for Heather: Hey everyone this is Maverick!!! I don't know where to go or what to do about his situation so any suggestions and recommendations are greatly appreciated! He is my nephew's dog...he has been in Millersville animal shelter since I believe the end April. He attacked another male dog because the floor to ceiling windows were left open. My sister was told she could not get him back unless certain conditions were met....my sister tried to do everything but her and the animal control officer bumped heads! Last month (June) my sister was told by an officer Herbert that she had 10 days to find Maverick a home that passed all release qualifications...unfortunately we were not able to do so...our other sister was going to take him but Herbert told my sister no because Angel is located in Baltimore City which would not have been approved the rehome...she did not put in paperwork or a request just her simple no. So we have all been sitting around crying the last month thinking poor Maverick was put down and we failed him ���z Yesterday morning Animal Control came to my sisters home and told her he is still alive �%9D%A4��%8F and he has 10 days to be re homes or he would be put down. We are so confused but grateful at the same time that we still have a chance to save him. He is a great family dog, loves kids and humans but just does not like MALE DOGS!!! If you know anyone interested in taking him please reach out...we will cover the re homing fees and what not we just need to find this baby a home! He is about 2 yrs old and is a pit mix...once again he wouldn't do well with male dogs at all but he is fine with females and is very loving! I would take him but I have a male pit already. My sister has moved since Maverick has been in the shelter and was told by Herbert she couldn't get him back and her complex wont allow pit mixes...this is after the fact that we thought Maverick was gone. Please if anyone can send me in the right direction for help or know anyone interested in him please reach out. He's such a sweet boy and so young....I know he could bring joy to another family �%9D%A4��%8F
