About Erik

Erik is a cattle dog estimated to be about 3-4 months old and currently weighs 20 pounds. He's a very young pup who's come in as a stray so we are still learning about him. He's good with other dogs and all the shelter staff. He's not been cat tested at this time. He's young and may be able to be trained with cats however this breed generally isn't great with small critters or even very young children as their herding instincts kick in and can herd the kids. This breed is smart, quick to learn and very active so a home with a fully fenced yard, an active family and/or knowledge of the breed would be a plus. This dog is currently at the rescue in TX however you can secure this pup for yourself with a pre-adoption which means getting your app in, approved and then paying the adoption fee. If not pre-adopted you may be able to find this pup and many others at the adoption event we will be having at the Petsmart 412 Constant Friendship Blvd Abingdon, MD on Sat and Sunday August 28th and 29th. The adoption fee is $450 which covers spay/neuter, vaccinations, HW testing, chipping, health certificate and transport fees. All our dogs come with a 30 day, money back, trial period to make sure they are the right fit in your environment but if it doesn't work you will have to foster until the dog gets rehomed.
