If she is not there, you need look no further than your feet because that is where she will be. She even does a cute little toe sniff or ankle rub to let you know she is close by. Blanche does miss her humans when they leave and will look for them and whine for a bit. She is fine in her crate and is happy to see you when you return. Blanche is great with teenagers but would not do well with kids under 14. She has never had an accident and will come stand in front of you and do a little dance or bark to let you know she needs to take care of business. Blanche is the perfect crate sleeper. She goes right in and gets her blankets in the proper formation for her to sleep. She is tiny so you may lose her depending on the size of the blanket! If she needs to go out first thing in the morning, she will start making some little peeps to let you know it is time. Blanche is a good eater and will always show up at treat time. She gets along with the other dogs in her foster home. She will let the other dogs know if they do not see her or if she doesn't like what they are doing in a friendly but firm manner. Blanche sleeps a good portion of the day and allows other dogs in the house to lay with her on the dog bed. We do not know how Blanche is with cats. Since Blanche had a pelvic fracture, we only recently started walking her. She walks great on the leash for short walks. We have a dog carrier and she does an excellent job of site seeing from the front of a human! She can manage the one step inside and outside but always prefers to be held when taken outside. We feel this would probably be the case in a multi-level home. Blanche is a good guard dog and will alert you to any unexpected activity. She enjoys a good bark party but will cut the party short when instructed to do so. She is also fast on her feet! Blanche will be the best senior canine gal pal to her new people!
