Say hello to Elliot! Elliot was adopted from the Norfolk Animal Care Center in mid-June. He's a two-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound. Elliot had tested positive for heart worm but completed his treatment prior to his adoption. His follow-up test will come in late November. Elliot is a very sweet and friendly dog. He'll gladly curl up with you on the couch, and he loves getting his belly scratched. He does well with all adults but has not been around any children. As a young dog, Elliot does have a lot of energy. He enjoys exploring the back yard, going on walks and chewing on a big, tasty bone. His leash manners are good, but he can pull if he catches an interesting scent. He currently lives with an older male greyhound, and the two get along well. Elliot is not a particularly good sharer with his food and toys, and he does eat his meals in a separate room. He has also lived with a pair of small dogs at a previous foster and did well with those as well. He is not cat-friendly. Elliot has received some training and has an understanding of basic commands like 'sit,' 'wait,' and 'leave it.' He's also worked on his leash commands. He is house broken, and a previous foster worked on crate training as well.
