About Tavi

Tavi is a 9 lb. 2 oz. domestic shorthair tabby cat who will be turning 13 on August 4th. She is an incredibly sweet girl who likes laying in laps, watching squirrels and birds out the window, and doing parkour. She dislikes seeing the bottom of her food bowl and she is shy when she first meets someone so she hides under the covers or in closets (but once she warms up, she likes being near/laying on/purring at people). Tavi has tested positive for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and, although she has never shown clinical symptoms and doesn't require any medication or special care, this means she is indoor-only and cannot be around other cats because it is contagious. It is not contagious to dogs or other animals and she currently has two dog siblings, with whom she gets along with well. The owners are heartbroken to rehome her, but are moving out of the country and unable to take her with them (because of her FIV status). They are happy to provide more information upon request.
