About Holly

Holly (we call her Pidge and mama, but she'll respond to anything) is pure love and magic! We think she's a 2-3 year old husky/GSD mix. She's newly potty trained, can sleep through the night in her crate, and is doing well on the leash. She does get a bit over excited when she sees other dogs, but we've been working on her remaining calm. She knows sit, down, come, wait, place, kennel, spin (only clockwise lol), and heel (on the right side). Holly does amazing getting her nails clipped, even falling asleep occasionally. The bath scares her, but if she's being held she's ok. She loves getting brushed, except for her back legs. She'll try to grab the brush out of my hands very gently ���� Holly LOVES plush squeaky toys. Playing fetch with them is her favorite game. She also loves to chew on bones! Holly has done great with all sizes and ages of dogs that I've introduced her to, but would be ok as an only dog too. She really wants to chase outdoor cats, but has done ok in one foster home with another cat. She LOVES people! She can be a bit timid at first, but warms up quickly. Holly does have some seperation anxiety tendencies. We've been working really hard on getting her comfortable being crated by herself during the day, but she still has a ways to go. She has escaped a plastic airline crate before. She's not an ideal apartment dog as she can get loud when she's left alone. She has also jumped a 6ft fence before, so can not be left outside in the yard unattended. As long as I'm outside with her, she doesn't try to leave. Holly is generally very lazy and just wants to cuddle all day! Her preferred home would be with someone who is home most of the time with possibly a couple laid back dog friends. Lots of squeaky toys and plenty of space to run for her twice daily zoomies! And a couch to sleep on the rest of the time. Holly is a wonderful, amazing dog. She will make her new family so happy.
