About Carly

Carly is an adorable lab girl looking for her forever home. She is outgoing, loves human attention, and will walk right up to you in order to be pet and give kisses. She has made several dogs friends at the rescue kennel she was at in Kentucky before her transport to us in MA and has made more dog friends here at Lighthouse. She has gotten along well with dogs ranging from 50-65 lb., both male and female. She loves to play and wrestle with her sister, Roxy, who is also a large female lab mix. Carly has been on a few walks with volunteers and walks nicely on a leash when the proper training tools are used. When she sees a wild bunny she wants to chase it and she is a strong girl! Carly will need training in order to work on her reactivity when seeing other animals while out on walks. We believe Carly is house trained as we have left her loose in her own room and she didn't have accidents. She doesn't have accidents in her crate either. Carly knows how to sit, give paw, and sit pretty! When she first arrived she weighed 96 lb. She has lost a few pounds since then. Her paperwork lists her as a lab mix and she is around 5 years old. She should not live with cats or other small animals. She may be able to live with another dog, depending on their size. Carly is looking for an experienced dog owner who is confident handling a large pup.
