About Kenda

Kenda is sweet, affectionate, playful, and a total love bug! He loves to sit on his human and wants to be as close as possible. He loves to talk and spends a lot of time squirrel and bird watching (napping too!) His future owner will think we were insane to give this boy up. But Kenda is not happy and is screaming this from the rooftop through his behaviors. His issue began about 1.5 years ago when I had surgery and needed to sleep in a recliner for weeks. He wasn't able to snuggle and sleep with me as usual. I had a second surgery 4 months later and went back to sleeping in the recliner for a month. Kenda started bullying our other two cats; cats he's lived with since the day we brought him home. He's very jealous and gets between me and the other cats constantly. I can't play with them, sweet talk to them, and they definitely aren't 'allowed' to sit on me or get in the bed. Kenda developed a second issue and I'm giving you 100 percent honesty so he can find a quiet, stress free space to call home. He has what vets call 'stress related FLUTD'. His brain has control of his bladder. He gets all the symptoms of a UTI but there is no physical cause for the symptoms. He's had every test known by vets multiple times. He started on Prozac a little over a year ago. Unfortunately he has still had occasion episodes with symptoms. He is currently transitioning to a different medication. I of course have all of his medical records. His vets have also told me the best long term solution for him is being in a house without any other pets. I am currently in a desperate situation and need to rehome Kenda ASAP. We are selling our house and downsizing within the next few months. A new home with less space is not going to be good for Kenda. My partner is at his wits end with Kenda and wants to take Kenda to animal control or find a 'new home' for Kenda himself. Under no circumstances is Kenda coming to our new house. This is as serious as it gets. As heart broken as I am, this situation with Kenda is putting a huge strain on my relationship. Please, please help Kenda. He is posted in multiple Facebook group, Hoobly, and on Adoptapet. Thanks for reading all of this.
