About Skip

Did your heart Skip a beat? Skip's name is a little on the nose. This sweet senior won't let ANYTHING get him down! Skip was saved by our rescue in July, after undergoing some major surgery and having an amputated hind leg. This tripod has been with a foster home healing ever since, and is ready to find his home! Skip's breed is a bit of a mystery mix of pug, beagle, chihuahua. What we do know is he is 30 lbs of sweetness. Skip has had a very rough life, proven by scars on his ankles and head. This means he is a little timid meeting new people. But in short order, if you just ignore him, he's seeking attention. And then he's your buddy, he actually loves people so much! Skip is crate trained ( loves it actually) and potty trained! He loves praise and treats. Skip is good with dogs big and small, he is currently living with several foster siblings! After some slow introductions, he loves to play and share toys with his doggie friends. He is not destructive, however he will steal your shoe / flip flop and sleep with it in his crate or doggie bed�'�| but he never chews his sleep treasures. Sooo cute. Best family would probably have no stairs, or few. He loves short walks and a little patch of outdoors, doggie door would be ideal. Since he has some insecurities, his best home would have no young kids and a patient family.
