About Birdie

Birdie is a super sweet, loving brindle Boxer/Pit mix. She is friendly and just enjoys being with people. She only barks or growls when someone that she doesn't know approaches her domain, but once they enter she just wants to play. She has grown up with a cat and kids with no issues. She has never had any issues with aggression and tends to be more on the fearful/nervous side, although she has never been bothered by storms or fireworks. She has always been crated when left alone at home for any period of time. When she was just over 1yo she had a major surgery after ingesting part of a blanket. Some of her intestines had to be removed and she recovered well with no issues in last 1.5 years. For this reason we do not allow her to have any blankets in her crate when she is alone. She is microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations. We are heartbroken to have to rehome our precious dog, but we are relocating for a job and unfortunately can't have pets in our new home. We did an extensive search for a pet friendly home, but couldn't find one that would work for us.
