Courtesy Posting: PLEASE HELP US FIND A GOOD HOME, FOSTER AND/OR RESCUE FOR DEAR BLANCO, A SLIGHTLY OLDER HAPPY BOY WHO APPEARS TO BE A CHOW/AUSSIE MIX BLANCO - ID #A5428376 Downey Shelter, Downey, So Cal Blanco is a fun loving, slightly older dog whose owner sadly dumped at the Downey/LA County kill shelter saying he no longer had time for him. He was reported as an 8 year old chow, although his tongue is all pink and he appears to be part aussie (but his true breed or mix is a bit of a mystery). What we do know is this guy likes to smile for the camera and is easy to leash. He weighs 63 lbs and was a devoted pet before. Blanco does have some clouding in his eyes and a bit of stiffness likely related to his age. He cruised around the play yard a bit on the slower side, and is a bit scared of other dogs so he prefers them to keep away, and is therefore recommended as an only dog. We have both his behavior and medical notes we can share.
