About Phoenix

Hi, I'm Phoenix! I'm a 16lb Havanese / Terrier mix. Life hasn't been too easy for me. Before I came to Hit Living, I was neglected for years. I had mats in my fur, was covered in foxtails, and had a pretty bad limp. I had tons of bruises and scrapes and had a broken leg that never fully healed, so now I might need an amputation. How sad is that?! But just like a Phoenix, I rose from the ashes and am now the sweetest, happiest, most mellow dog ever! - Given my history with humans, I can be a little shy when I first meet new people. I think that's fair considering how my former humans treated me! But once I get to know you, I will be your BFF for life! -If you take a nap, I'll be right there wagging my tail when you wake up. I'm just so happy we get to spend more time together! Sleep is great, but I've got lost time to make up for playing with people! -But also, like I said, sleep is great as long as I'm sleeping next to my forever person. I hope you'll let me on the bed, because I sleep best cuddled right up next to you! -Even though I have plenty of toys, shoes are my favorite! You might want to put them away in a closet or give my a pair of my own to play with! I'm so excited to meet you, and even if I seem a little scared at first, I PROMISE, once I get to know you, I won't be able to get enough of you!
