About PUGSLEY

Meet sweet and handsome Pugsley! He is a 9 month, 24 pound Pug/Boston Terrier mix. At first Pugsley can be nervous and shy, but he quickly warms up. He is a very calm and laid back pup. He wants nothing more than to snuggle next to you for belly rubs and lots of love. He is unfamiliar with toys and is just starting to become interested in them. His favorite 'toy' is socks, and he loves finding one and bringing it to you. Pugsley enjoys having other dogs in the house to play with and looks to them for guidance and reassurance. He gets along great with the kids in his foster home, but has not been around cats to see how he acts around them. Pugsley is working on his potty training and does well with lots of positive reinforcement and by keeping him on a regular schedule. He is good in the house and doesn't chew anything up, but he does mark. His foster family is working with him using a belly band and he's doing great! Pugsley is very smart and quickly learned to sit on command. He is also learning to walk on a leash, although new sounds and unfamiliar people can make him a bit nervous, and a fenced yard is best for him. He's good at escaping and climbing, so we would prefer a high chain link or privacy fence. At night, he sleeps in a dog bed next to his foster mom's bed and loves to be near her when he sleeps. Pugsley is the sweetest dog and we know he will have no trouble finding a home! He has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, fecal and heartworm tested, has had a 12 month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. His neuter is scheduled soon at one of our vets and is covered by the rescue.
