About Hatchet

Posted 7/21/21, and his picture was taken on 6/26/21. Hatchet was an owner surrender on 3/17/21. The husband passed away, and the wife went into assisted living. He was already neutered, and is heartworm positive, but I started him on a slow kill treatment with prevention. He is now slightly positive, and should be negative in a few more months. He is good around most dogs, but occasionally not good with a dominant male dog, and not with small breeds. It's always good to pair dogs with the opposite gender anyway. He is crate trained, and I was told that he lived inside with his owners for around 2.5 years before putting him outside. He is a really sweet dog, but sometimes a little shy, loves to be pet, and he rides great in the cab of my truck. He doesn't resemble any specific breed that I can see, so without doing a DNA test, I'm stumped on his breed, and just listed him as a Terrier mix, since that covers a large number of breeds. Estimated to have been born around 2015 or 2016, and he weighed 64.4 pounds on 3/22/21.
