About PRINCE

When PRINCE (ID #A1842473) re-entered the East Valley Animal Shelter, Van Nuys, as a 'stray,' it was obvious his last couple of years were not charmed. In March 2019, then 6-year-old PRINCE was surrendered by his 'family' for a WTF excuse. In August 2019, PRINCE was put on the shelter's Red list, and those at the shelter, who had grown to love him, feared he wouldn't make it out. [Click on his ID number to bring up posts and videos from 2019.] PRINCE was eventually adopted and everyone hoped he'd live happily ever after. Fast forward to June 28, 2021, when PRINCE was brought to the shelter in the most filthy condition [it took giving him three baths to get the filth off], covered in scabs, a hematoma in an ear, and with a look of dejection. The contact info on the microchip, which had been inserted when PRINCE was adopted, went back to the adopter in 2019, and the shelter made a call. The adopter told the employee that PRINCE had been given to someone living in Riverside, CA, and had no explanation as to how PRINCE ended up back in the Valley. The ex-adopter said that, since giving PRINCE away, the family moved to an apartment that wouldn't allow him. And, so, PRINCE was, again, surrendered. Because PRINCE can't tell us his woeful tale, it has to be told for him. It has to be said that this now 8-year-old needs a rescuer/adopter who understands what responsibility and commitment mean. He needs to be in an environment that affords him a loving family, a soft bed to relax/sleep on inside the home, and to be protected, forevermore.
