About Rhett

Rhett is such a sweet boy! He came in very malnourished and just overall not in good shape. He has put on weight (he is still filling out) but he is feeling so much better. Rhett is a medium size dog, he is currently only 45 lbs. Rhett walks well on the leash, he kind of knows to sit, but with a little training would be great. He wants to please! When he walks, he tends to stay very close, almost touching you. He just needs someone to help him build his confidence and give him some basic training. He can be a little jumpy at first but calms down quickly. Rhett came in with another dog, the other dog would not let Rhett eat so he can be somewhat submissive. Rhett has the tail of a German Shepherd and some of his fur is that of a German Shepherd, but whatever he is mixed with kept him smaller. Rhett is is neutered, current on all vaccinations, he has tested negative for heartworms and he is microchipped. We are a rescue in Mississippi and we come to CT with our pre-adopted pets and meet with the adopters at a predetermined time and location. We can be available for a video call for a virtual meet and greet after an application has been submitted. **We are not able to adopt animals to residents of MA, NH, ME, and RI at this time. ** The adoption fee DOES include transportation.
