Australian Shepherd / Golden Retriever

Hi, my name is Asu, and just recently I was adopted from the shelter. I was about to be put down, but my new family saved me. Before I was adopted, I had been at the shelter for a month and all they did was take out my private, which I heard was called neutering. I had many other issues like a really bad ear infection, and my teeth are pretty bad. My mom has been taking care of my ears and taking me to the vet. My family is not rich but they are rich at heart. When my mom took me to the doctor, she received an estimate for my teeth. She didn't stop there, she knew she couldn't afford it. She called my brother's friend's mom, Dr. Kelly, who was going to do it for a really good price. Although they had no available appointments. So she decided to drive me to Mexico. When we got there I was very nervous, I was drooling everywhere. When we went to the vet room, the doctor asked my family to put a muzzle on my face. I don't like muzzles, but I did for my family. The doctor was scared to put a muzzle because of my big giant body and then carried me to the table. He tried to stick something up my bum. Then we left the room after they took samples and then they called us back for the results and my family put another muzzle on so he could look at my teeth. The doctor said that we had to remove all 4 of my canines and the 4 front bottom teeth because they were worn down. Then they took me back off the table and took me to the waiting room. Then they called my family again and they needed to do blood work to see if I was okay to do my surgery. My family put the muzzle on me again and then we waited for the results. We get sent back in and doctors said I'm okay to do surgery and that they put another muzzle on me, and it was too short, I had enough of this torture. They made my family wait 2 hours to see if they could get me ready for my surgery, but they couldn't get a muzzle on me. The doctors didn't help my family at all. That made me very upset with my family. When I was in the U.S.A the doctors put the muzzles on and I was a very good boy, but I was still nervous. This made my mom really mad because she drove 3 hours each way and spent $115 for the doctors not even to do my surgery. Now let me tell you about my home life. For the last 2 weeks since I was adopted I have been living with my family and their pets. My pet siblings are really nice, and we are getting along fine. We even went on walks and runs together, but I don't like runs. My mom calls me a lazy mellow boy. One day my human sister was putting food for me and my hungry dog siblings. My husky sister and I both wait at the food bowl together. I got mad at her because she didn't want to share, so my mom decided to hire a dog behavioral trainer to help me with my food aggression. After the trainer, my mom felt more confident but I wanted to tell my dog siblings that I'm the boss. My mom was not happy with that. I know my mom loves me and wants the best for me. She wants me to go to a home where I can be the only pet so I can be the leader and have a happy life. I love stuffed animals, and I think I'm human. I try to mimic my human siblings in the car, my bottom on the seat and my legs dangling. I love to take long naps, and I snore like crazy. I have great table manners and don't beg for human food like my pet siblings. I am very gentle when you give me treats and I love to be scratched on my head. I'm potty trained and never had an accident in the house or car. I know some basic commands like sit, stand, and lay down. I respond to my name easily, but that doesn't mean I'll trust you right away. My mom feels like she left me down and she was crying the whole time back home because she didn't know how else to help me. She thinks I have a very goofy personality. If you have any questions or concerns message my mommy from here.
