Red is ready to find her next forever home because her owner passed away. She lived with a senior male and a Pit Bull Mix. She is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever Mix (maybe Pit Bull also), approximately 7 years old, spayed, and up-to-date with her vet visits. If you are looking for a completely devoted companion look no further. Red is a big sweetheart who is gentle and loves positive praise. Red loves ear rubs and side belly scratches. She has a calm demeanor who loves attention and does not jump. You can often find her nearby laying down or at your feet. You will not find her on your furniture as she is trained to stay on the floor. She is independent, smart, and responds well to positive reinforcement. She is house trained. She loves long walks, will heal, and walks well on a leash. Red rides well in the car. She also loves men. Red is cautious with new people but warms up quickly. She will attach and bond quickly to a new owner. She does well with other large dogs. Red has not been around children so we are not sure how she will respond. She is prey driven and should not be homed with cats. She may not respond well to small dogs, so consider a slow introduction. She lives well with larger dogs.�%A0 Red would be a great emotional support dog and buddy. She is well-mannered and would be an ideal companion. She is very loving with her people!
