About Melody

Melody (Drawing done by Patti Larkin, art teacher at Kreps Middle School ) Melody and her kitten were rescued from living outdoors in June 2019 by their foster family. With time and love, they adjusted happily to being indoors. Melody's kitten has since been adopted into her forever home, but Melody was still too timid to find hers. After building more trust Melody learned that people are good, to enjoy being petted, to play with wand toys, and to have her nails cut without too much of a fuss. She was never fond of being picked up, but her foster family does it every day to get her used to it. She tolerates it, but then appreciates being put back down. Melody absolutely loves for someone to sit with her and scratch her neck and give her lots of love. When she isn't enjoying attention from her foster family, Melody's favorite pastime is looking out the window from her cat tree watching the birds and squirrels. Melody would do well in an adult home, or one with older kids, who understand she is a calm and quiet girl who needs a little time to let her true sweet personality shine.
