About Rusty

Meet Rusty, a sweet one-year-old, 45 lb. chocolate pittie. This beautiful boy was found wandering the streets of South Carolina with a nine pound chain around his neck! He quickly captured our hearts and made the journey to a foster home in Connecticut. Rusty is a gentle soul who, despite all he's been through, loves people. He enjoys walks around the neighborhood, his toys, playtime in the yard, and treats. He is great with other pups, although he can be a bit of a rough player. This guy loves nothing more than hanging out on the couch or playing with his people. Due to past trauma and abuse, Rusty has anxiety issues so he will require an adopter that works from home or is gone minimal hours throughout the day. In order to adopt Rusty, there must be a training commitment. He's a sweet boy who just needs a chance. He is even housetrained! He will require a home that will allow him the time and patience to decompress. A fenced yard is highly preferred and experience is a plus! While he likes children, he'd do best in a home with teens and up. Rusty's adoption fee is $350 and he is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered.
