Owen is about 4 years old and has some fear aggression toward strangers who may enter his own space (territorial when guests enter the home), since he feels threatened and afraid due to experiences he had in his life before joining me. He will need a home that isn't chaotic and an owner who will be willing to work with him and give him lots of love and compassion and patience. There is a trainer in Concord/Jackson who has worked with him before and is willing to provide free training to his next owner to help him build up his confidence (and this trainer is incredible, he adjusted to her and her guests immediately when he boarded with her recently, so this would be a great resource to Owen's next owner). He's super well behaved and quiet and loves to cuddle, just struggles with strangers and new adjustments but will feel right at home with a compassionate and understanding owner. He's microchipped, neutered, has his rabies shot, house trained, and walks well on a leash. He had heart worm when I first adopted him but was treated for that and just needs the monthly pill at this point for preventative measures. He's truly such a good dog, but he'll need a quiet, patient, and understanding new home that has space where he can become the best version of himself (wouldn't suggest a home with kids/other animals). I promise he will become inseparable with his next owner, and I want him to have the best life he deserves. I will provide all of his materials as well to his next owner (crate, beds, food dishes, collar, toys, etc). He just needs an owner that has the time and understanding and space to help him grow into the confident dog he was born to be, and I want him to find his forever home.
