About Copper

This is Copper. He is 8 yrs old and weighs about 12-13 lbs. He was surrendered by his owner because her work schedule does not allow her to have adequate time for him. Copper has a torn CCL in his left knee and is currently on activity restrictions. Hopefully his knee will stabilize with a few more weeks of restricted activity. Here is what Cooper's foster mom says about this sweet boy: 'I've had Copper for about 3 weeks. From what I've been told he's not a fan of thunderstorms (he has anxiety meds for this) or other dogs being around him when there's food involved. Our experience with him on those 2 things have been just fine. He's been through 1 thunderstorm with no issues or meds and has let our other dog know he doesn't want him around when eating food or bones (without any biting). He loves playing with our 2.5 year old golden retriever mix who is also a male. He also loves riding in the car, walks, cuddling and snoozing on fluffy things. Does great around our 3 kids - licking them and cuddling when they sit still long enough. His hurt leg doesn't seem to slow him down one bit or deter him from loving his walks.'
