My name is Billie and I'm ready to begin the search for my home. The nice people here at TTCR named me Billie (sort of like Billy the Kid) because I was pulled from 'jail' in Fort Sumner. I was part of a hoarding situation until I landed in the shelter...aka jail. I had heartworms and needed to be vaccinated when I came to rescue, but that's soon to be all behind me. I've been treated for those nasty heartworms and the veterinarian says I'm almost ready to go. About me: I'm about two years old, full of energy, love to play with toys, and need someone who can help me learn about living in the house, becoming more confident with people and walking on a leash. I am crate trained but need some work on potty training. I need a home where I am the only dog. I guard my area and my food and am not at all sure I want to be around other dogs. I'm a corgi/cattle dog mix and I come with the energies of both breeds. An experienced owner is best for me. I'm a bit rambunctious, so no small children. An older boy or girl that is respectful and kind would be a great friend for me, but I want the entire family to be mine as well.
