About Winston

EXPERIENCED APPLICANTS ONLY Winston is a gorgeous 10-month-old Snow Mink Bengal cat. He was purchased as a kitten from a breeder in Southern CA. You might be wondering why anyone would need to re-home such a young and winsome guy? Unfortunately Winston's owner has been struggling to get his dietary requirements under control. He is suffering from allergies likely caused by a reaction to the chicken by-products found in so many commercial foods. Winston will need to be fed a raw diet. He's got all the energy you would expect in such a young guy, and he needs a home that will have the time to devote to keeping him exercised and stimulated. Winston is looking for a family that will have lots of love and attention to give him. He needs tall cat towers, and even an exercise wheel. Winston loves to sleep in his owner's bed, and watch birds out the window. He is a huge fan of automatic toys, crinkle balls, and ping-pong balls. It should be noted that Bengals who are this young need extreme 'Child-Proofing' in the home. Winston was treated at the young age of three-months-old for ingesting a string. For this reason, any home that Winston goes to must have all dangerous objects secured. This includes plastic, string, window cords, zip ties, hair ties - basically anything that he could possibly chew or ingest. Winston loves to play fetch, and once he's all tuckered out he turns into quite the snuggly little guy. He's known to crawl into laps and doesn't mind being picked up, at the right times. He does love belly rubs when he's not in play-mode (if he IS in play-mode, expect to be bitten or scratched - that's his way of saying 'STOP - not now!'). Like most Bengals, Winston is chatty - he does love to talk. Winston is definitely not a fan of carriers. He'll need further training to get comfortable with riding in a carrier. He does allow his owner to clip his nails, which is important because he super active and could leave 'skid marks' from his claws on certain furniture (inadvertently). Winston loves to play with running water. He'll hang out with you when you are showering or bathing. In general, wherever you are - that's where he wants to be. Winston was raised in a small cattery where he lived with other cats. Because of his age, he should be able to adjust to a busier family, provided that proper introductions are made. Please, no children under the age of ten years old. Winston is neutered, vaccinated and otherwise very healthy. He has no litter box avoidance issues. His Breeder tested his Parents for FeLV and HCM and they both tested negative.
