About Moose and Mojo

Lab
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Moose and Mojo are odd but an wonderful duo. Does your family have differing opinions on wanting a large dog or a small dog? These two are a perfect solution to that discussion. Moose is a large black lab, 97 pounds, 7-9 years old, and the epitome of the perfect lab. He is a big easy-going boy; past the chewing stage and is not overly active. He is full of character. He is easy on the leash and loves to ride in the car. Moose is reliably housetrained and has learned how to use a doggy door. For snoozing or hanging out Moose prefers a dog bed and occasionally likes to lay on the hardwood floor. He loves everyone, men, women, young and old. He is good with other dogs and considers cats part of the family. His favorite thing is getting a belly rub or a good ear scratch and he will repay you with a kiss. Moose is in good health; however, we prefer all senior dogs to go to a home that has few steps as it is hard on their joints as they age. Moose could be considered a couch potato, however, at his foster home, he has never gotten on the couch or any other furniture. He would prefer to wander in a backyard versus going on long walks, that way he can pace himself. Mojo has been Moose's companion for the past 5 years. Mojo is a Pekingese mix, 5 years old, and full of life. Mojo is a cute little boy that loves attention. He likes to play but loves to cuddle right next to you on the couch. He also likes to be held and be kissed! He has an underbite that makes you smile when you look at him. He is housebroken but when adjusting to a new home, out of being scared he will need reminders. He is good on a leash, loves to ride in the car, and wants to be your constant companion. He is good with other dogs and fine with cats inside. Mojo is strictly an inside dog that does like to dart out the door if you are not careful, so he will need to be secured when answering the door. When he does go outside he will need a fence with no escape possibilities and supervision unless on a leash. These two would love to go to a home together. They lost their previous home due to a divorce, but there is no doubt they have been well-loved. Their preference would be with a family or single person. They could live just about anywhere if they can be walked, they are not barkers. Moose does bark if you are slow at handing out the treats. Moose is sweet and kind but he is big and, he may knock over a beginning walker, but he has been living with a 2-year-old with no issues. Mojo is good with children too but may be tempted to try to take a toddler's food if carrying it around. They need an adopter that can spend time with them and appreciates their companionship. Mojo is a sweet precious little dog who is a bit more demanding of attention, Moose is a laid-back loving boy that everyone falls in love with. Moose and Mojo are current on vaccinations and preventatives, both are neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative.
