About Violet

Violet is a four year old pit mix. She's a gorgeous brindle color. She is in great shape physically. She is a great cuddler! She prefers to be around her person, but when left alone she mainly sleeps and waits. She is walking pretty well on a leash, still some pulling. She definitely needs several walks (or runs) a day. She does have anxiety and calms herself by licking her paws or the couch or a blanket. She is a fan of licking people as well! She is affectionate, but somewhat wary of strangers. She warms up soon after meeting most people. I think she would do best in a home without children and possibly another dog. She is dog aggressive to some dogs and it's become a problem in the neighborhood I live in. She spends most of her time with me outside on a leash, she will run if she gets the chance. She loves to sniff and plays with her snuffle mat. She is a good eater and very treat motivated. I wish she could find the right family with the safety factor from other aggressive dogs and someone with a lot of time for physical activities with her. I have taken her to a private dog park and she loved running around free there. I put her on a 20 foot leash sometimes to give her a little more freedom. She is easy to love and a good girl. She also enjoys car rides, especially to the park!
