'Hurry, hurry! It's time to go! There are places to see and people to meet! There are dog parks to go to! Let's hit the streets!' 'My name is Drago and I'm a 6 year old shepherd mix who weighs 37 pounds. I'm happy and cute and will wiggle my butt for anyone I meet! I'm an active boy who loves walks and adventures! I love other dogs and I think dog parks are the best invention since sliced bread! A home with a fenced yard would be a dream come true and my another dog to keep me company would make me the happiest! I exude cuteness and energy and I'm willing to bring it with me when I move into your home!' Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
