About Winnie

I am in desperate need of a rescue or good home for my German Shepherd. Winnie is a 4 year old German Shepherd. She has been a faithful companion to my daughter, who is leaving for college. Winnie is very smart and knows multiple tricks and commands. However, Winnie has been fear aggressive since we got her at 8 weeks. She is very loyal to my daughter. No one outside our immediate family can get near her without her lunging and barking. We don't let her around my step kids without a muzzle. Without my daughter in the home to care for Winnie,the little kids won't be safe in the home.. Unfortunately my daughter's dad has backed out of taking Winnie when she leaves for college. We are so scared that if we take her to a shelter, she will be put down. I hope that someone who enjoys training fearful dogs can help Winnie. She is crate and muzzle trained, spayed, utd on shots. She has a high prey drive for cats. She should probably be an only pet. She also uses steroid eye drops for Pannus. Please let me know if you can help or point me in the right direction. Thank you!
