About Dewey

Meet Dewey, a playful, sensitive, two-year-old hound/boxer mix. He weighs 57 lbs. Dewey loves outdoor adventures and would prefer a home with an active owner. Dewey needs an experienced owner -- ideally, someone who loves hounds. He is friendly but reserved, he tends to bond slowly with new people. Since coming to DAWS, his self-confidence has greatly improved, he has made many friends and has learned several basic commands. We think Dewey would be fine in a home with older teens. He likes other dogs, and his best match would be a calm, middle-aged dog, preferably female. He does need a cat-free home.
