About Rex

This is our 13 month old black and silver intact male German Shepherd named Rex. Unfortunately he needs a new home due to the fact that he gets anxious around kids and is not meant for a home with children. We live in Manteca, CA and are hoping to rehome him as local as possible. He is an amazingly intelligent pure bread German Shepherd, knows many commands, loves to learn & please and is crate-trained. The breeder is also going to transfer his 'health guarantee' to whomever we rehome him with. Please read below for the prerequisites and important facts about Rex before contacting me: - He needs to go to a home without kids. - I will require the new owner to attend at least one private lesson with K9 development in Tracy CA (this is his school). - Due to his anxious personality, he is not a 'dog-park type' dog. However, he is best friends with our cat and probably would befriend another dog he lived with. - He has been overnight boarded at K9 development, and knows his manners, but prefers to ignore other dogs. - Preferred new owner that knows or has experienced the GSD breed. - He does great with adults (if introduced in the home), but isn't a fan of kids. - He is all updated on his shots, but is not fixed yet. We are under contract with the breeder to not fix him until 18 months of age for proper development. - We will require a meeting where I bring the dog to your home and ensure it's a good fit. - It is important to note that we will be asking for a rehoming fee (will be discussed once contacted).
