WARNING! This dog has shown resource guarding of me, the owner. It is severe and he has already progressed to biting that has punctured skin. He has also shown some leash aggression. He is a an Australian shepard/collie mix and is 40 lbs. I am looking for someone who has experience with training/dealing with resource guarding + leash aggression.. This dog will not be allowed to go to someone without the credential to deal with this condition as it would be dangerous and irresponsible to do so. I cannot handle this trait as I know it is life long and I don't have the physical or mental capacity to do so. He has a loving sweet side when we are alone and as of now is very social and sweet with other dogs. He was found on the street and then I took him from the people who found him just 3 months ago. His approximate age is about 10 months. He was never in a shelter and therefore never tested for this trait. Please respond with your information and how you could care for this dog or send me info of someone or somewhere that may take him and give him the training and care he needs.
