About charlie

With heavy hearts, we must offer our Charlie a better home. We are in 70's and find it difficult to take care of Charlie and live our lives too. We acquired Charlie from family member. We have known and loved him since he was a pup. He is a happy to be alive being, with good energy, curiosity, enthusiasm, loyal, strong, good health, and very smart. He loves to play ball, go on walks, ride in the car and has displayed great compassion. Being a 110 lb. German Shepard, he should not be totally trusted around other animals and younger children until he gets 'settled in' his new home and family. Charlie is current on vaccinations, needs his teeth brushed weekly (he lies down for teeth brushings), fur brushed which he likes, and some ear wash now and then. He has prescription for monthly flea, tick and worm medication which works very well. He is a beautiful Shepard, and would come with dog house, feeding bowls, food, water tub for cooling and play. All of our Charlie things would go with him. He presently has a fenced in acre that is home. He does NOT do well if chained up. We never grab his collar, hit, kick or tease him. He responds well to talk and guidance...being only 3 1/2, he's like a youngster. His new home and humans would have to provide him at least what he has now in the way of activities, running room, home and love. His new humans should have the 'pal' time to give him. He sleeps in the house and loves to be with us. This is a difficult thing to part with our Charlie. He will only go to a home where he's loved, played with, and his well being is of great importance.
