About Eevee

Please send an inquiry only if you live in Los Angeles or Orange Counties. Eevee is a 7 year old neutered red/white Pembroke Welsh Corgi male. He is coming into our rescue on 8/12 and will be vetted with a vet exam, blood work, dental and spine x-rays. go to our vet for all his shots, microchip, and schedule an appmt for a dental cleaning and x-rays of his spine. He needs a new home because his current owner has a new girlfriend and whenever they are together, Eevee does the jealousy routine not directed at the owner's girlfriend but at the other dog in the house, an 8 year old chihuahua. When the two dogs are alone no issues at all. No bite history just some growling, bullying and circling the chihuahua when the girlfriend is there. The owner feels his chihuahua's safety so wants to rehome Eevee (named after a Pokeman characcter). Eevee is a total love, takes treats gently from the hand, loves to be petted and does know sit and come but no formal obedience training. He will need a dental. His weight is perfect, about 32 lbs and one can feel his ribs in a good way and see the indentation on his hips. He isn't used to walks unfortunately and hasn't been to a vet for some time. He is used to walking on a harness and doesn't pull. We are looking for an experience corgi adopter who has had corgi or corgi mixes in the past and we want an adult home. Eevee hasn't been around children so if you have children or visiting grandkids that are under 15 years of age, that won't work. He could be the only dog and be happy or perhaps with a female dog his size. Eevee does have a bit of shaking in his hind legs that he's had since he was a puppy. Doesn't appear to have any existing mobility or hip problems but we are getting his spine x-rays to see if he has any issues. Adoption process: completion of a pre adopt application, home check, adoption contract, two week trial period and follow-up visit and adoption donation of $400.
