About Grimey

Grimey is an estimated 2.5 year old, spayed German shepherd mix who has been fostered for the past year and is now looking for her forever home! Grimey is a shy, snuggly girl who needs a quiet, low energy house and fenced in yard to call home. We have been caring for her for the last year but our very active, dynamic home, on land that we share with other cabins, with many people and foster dogs coming and going regularly is just too much for this very sweet but timid girl. She has taken to hiding under our bed because of the high level of activity and amount of people and animals passing through our home. As such, we are committed to finding her a quieter household where she will fully comfortable and happy in her home. Grimey is up to date on her vaccines and is heartworm negative. Her ideal home could be, for example, a retired couple looking for a quiet, sweet dog to join their home. She loves to go on car rides and is also a perfect angel when left home alone. She is happy to go out on walks and explore but is also equally as happy to spend her day curled up on the couch or bed with her person. Grimey is timid when she first meets a stranger but warms up quickly to a calm, gentle person. She is afraid of children and will need to be in a no-children household. Grimey could do very well as an only pet or in a house with another calm, friendly dog. She prefers to be in the company of male dogs over female dogs. She is showing signs of arthritis in her hips and is currently on a daily joint supplement and CBD tincture, and a single floor house could be perfect for her. Grimey also has a hilarious and playful side. When she is feeling comfortable and active she loves to romp around with other dogs and people who she knows and trusts. She also loves to wade in creeks and go exploring in the woods.
