About Butterscotch

Meet Butterscotch, a senior buff-and-white Tiger who came to us as an owner surrender. She is polydactyl which means she has extra toes that just make her even more adorable! Butterscotch is currently in a foster home, not at the shelter. Her foster says 'Butterscotch likes to be in the same room as her people. She purrs loudly, and meows for pets and attention. She even seeks attention and pets from new visitors to the house who she hasn't met before. She is extremely playful and frequently behaves like a 13-week-old kitten, not a 13-year-old cat. Butterscotch likes sleeping on the end of her foster parents' bed and also settles in on the couch. Though she has not yet sat in their laps, her foster parents think it is just a matter of time. Butterscotch adapted quickly to her new foster parents and their home. After two days of settling in, Butterscotch allowed her foster parents to pick her up, and on day three she easily allowed all her nails to be trimmed. Butterscotch has been fine with two successive foster dogs in the home. Her extra pair of thumbs is one of her most endearing features. She has white boots on her back feet and her thumbs look like she is wearing winter white mittens! You would never know she is 13! She is looking for a forever home with a loving family that will give her lots of affection, toys and treats!' Butterscotch qualifies for our senior program so her adoption fee is just $100.
