About Diesel

Diesel was surrendered to the Animal control in San Antonio after his owner died. He is about a year and a half old. We believe he is a mix of bulldog and pit bull or Staffordshire. He is neutered, microchipped , vaccinated and heartworm negative. Weight is 79 lb. He has some skin allergies so he is on hypoallergenic food. He was in a foster home in Texas and was good with foster's three dogs, except for one friend's male dog but after some time they also got along. He was also great with any strangers coming into the foster's home. Once he arrived in Pa to our rescue however, he was much more stressed and cautious about strangers approaching him while he was confined. When moved to a big kennel run he was much better with strangers approaching him. So we think he may be best in a home with no dogs or just female dogs and meet and greet with other dogs of adopters are always recommended. He is strong on leash and will need some corrections. He likes to give kisses. Because of his size and strength we would recommend adults only or older teens. He loves to play with squeaky bones and is good in a car for rides.
