About Jack

Unfortunately, we are needing to rehome my mom's dog, Jack. He's a huge ~2yo, 80lbs, cuddlebug who is obsessed with tennis balls. He has the most beautiful star-shaped pupils. Loves tummy rubs and snuggling on the couch. Very sweet disposition, neutered, and up to date on shots. No known health issues. He does have a high prey drive and does not do so well with cats or livestock. Due to his size, I would recommend older children as he is still a puppy that doesn't understand his weight/size. Someone who is outgoing and loves throwing the ball would be his perfect companion. Did I mention he is obsessed with balls? He also howls when he hears a siren; a beautiful, deep howl. We've tried to make the house work since she had to move to a location, due to medical reasons, where he could not stay. It breaks our hearts but, we cannot provide the happiest household he deserves or a proper yard for him to stay in while we are at work as he can jump the back wall. Can't stand the thought of locking him in a cage at a shelter, again, and there are no fosters available this time of the season. If anyone in the Edgewood/ABQ/ELP area is interested, we would love to set up a meet with his furever home. Completed applications will be given to the foster to coordinate meetings as everyone feels comfortable.
