About Major

Major is a very playful, loving dog. Has learned to follow numerous commands (sit, shake, speak, jump, lay down, 'drop it', 'go for walk', 'go lay down'). Loves to go on long walks. Easily stimulated/triggered by other animals (birds, squirrels, cats, dogs, etc.) and barks at everything. Requires a lot of attention. Displays dominance and food aggression with other male dogs. Although he doesn't tear up shoes or furniture, he loves to get into the trash, tear up his toys and dog beds. When you try to take trash away from him, he displays aggression by showing his teeth but could potentially bite if the situation is mishandled. He doesn't like to be physically forced or picked up so we trick him with treats. Major is super cuddly and loving, he just doesn't like to be 'handled'. Overall Major is a very protective and enjoyable companion and makes for a great guard dog.
