Sherman has been getting by on his street smarts around the big city in Phoenix for years! Recently he was%A0picked up by the shelter officers and now doesn't know how to react to all these people, sounds, and confinement! Sherman is%A020 lbs of fluff and is a Corgi/Chi mix! We estimate Sherman around 4-5 years old. Since he is so scared, he has been in the back medical wing for the last 13 days and might have only been out of kennel 1-2 times this whole time! Sherman has never seen a leash before, so he attempts to bite at it like a snake and doesn't know what to do. When staff comes to give him treats, he cowers down and growls until they leave him alone. We are looking for a very special human to help with Sherman, since he has never been loved or worked with before. He must go to a home with no kids under 12 to mess with him. He will require a lot of patience, training, and TLC to teach him that inside the home is not scary! It's the place to be! Since he cannot be walked on a leash yet, he will need a yard to go potty. He hasn't been tested around any other dogs/cats, so we have no idea how he will react to a pet in the home. A rescue will most likely require separation for several weeks before introducing to any pets.%A0%A0 To talk to a rescue volunteer about a dog, please fill out an application at: http://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/BPAZ/Dog
