About Kodie

Kodie is a beautiful, red tri male, who was born 12/07/2020. He had a bit of a rough start to life until coming to Australian Shepherds Furever. He was taken in by a good samaritan after seeing him be abused by a male in the household. She then reached out to ASF for assistance since she worked long hours. Kodie is nearly 7 months old and is mastering potty training and crate training. He rides wonderfully in the car and walks well on the leash. He is good with other dogs but has not been tested with cats. Because of his former abuse, Kodie is a little hesitant with strong, burly men and does best with women. He has met men and does ok, but he would prefer his primary caregiver be a woman. He has been working on his reactions to other things, which manifests into alert barking. Kodie will need a strong(er) leader and someone who is committed to the training he has been receiving in his foster home. Kodie will also need an active household that will continue to exercise this young, energetic Aussie. His favorite pastimes are playing fetch with balls and squeaky toys, although he hasn't learned to de-stuff them yet. Kodie is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, microchipped and receiving monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks and heartworms. Kodie is being fostered in Collinsville, IL.
