Amber is considered a gem because it glows and glistens when polished, but Amber is not actually a gemstone, she's a 14-year young Chihuahua mix whose family turned her into the shelter because 'she was too old'! We think it was really due to a large mass she had on her belly. Well guess what .... we took care of her, and that yucky mass is all gone now! Amber is feeling herself again and is ready to find her new forever family that knows how valuable Amber really is! She prefers soft food and is completely housetrained - she will even let you know when she needs to go potty! She takes a little bit to warm up to new people, but when she does, she will be happy to lay on the couch with you and she LOVES to sleep on the bed with you as well. She is a very laid-back gal and is good with other dogs with proper introduction and time. Amber gave her first family her first 14 years.... are you the one lucky enough to give her the best forever after to Amber? If you are interested in becoming the proud family of this rare gemstone, you can apply to adopt on the Sophia's Grace Foundation website. Amber is spayed, microchipped, house-trained, and good with other dogs. Amber is fostered in Columbia SC. Please apply here: www.sophiasgracefoundation.org
