Flicka . Approximately two years old 50 lbs Black Lab - Border Collie mix? Webbed feet Sweet nature, Energetic, loves to be outside on squirrel patrol, play with other dog and play with her toys. Athletic and I think would make a great Frisbee catcher. She LOVES when I get the frisbee out! She is a real fun dog. My Blue Heeler sometimes gets mad at her and Flicka quickly submits to her and even submits to my female Chihuahua. I think she'd be fine with most any other dogs, but she's so big and playful that she may be overwhelming for a small dog to deal with. I'm sure she would be great with kids, but she might accidentally knock down small children trying to play with them. Right now she still acts shy around new people but quickly warms up to them. She has learned to Come to Heel position, Heel, Sit, Down, Stay, Sit Up, and Shake, but at this point is still being rewarded with treats. She will chase the outside cats if given the chance, but is pretty good at leaving them alone while on leash and being told to 'Leave it!' She will require daily walks. No apartments! We foster dogs for rescues and assist them in adopting/rehoming of their pups/dogs by listing on this site. Many dogs posted here are available to pre adopt NOW directly from the rescue. The only ones in foster in the NW specifically state that. We have very few fosters so most need to be pre adopted. All adoption fees go towards rescuing more dogs in need. No one receives a salary. Shayne's Fosters is not responsible for any experience you have with any dog you might see posted on this site. They are the property of the sponsoring rescue who will supply all medical supporting records which is given with each dog when adopted. Our adoption fees cover all medical costs to make sure the pups are appropriately vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and spayed/ neutered. It also covers the cost of transportation from Texas and the necessary health certificate documentation. The fees also include a negative heart-worm test for any dogs over 6 months. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and a myriad of other vetting. If the adoption fees seem high (which never cover the true cost of rescue), we recommend fostering for a good rescue.
