About TAFFY - $100

Adoption Fee: $100
Domestic Cat
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

All of our adoptable pets are located at the rescue in Sebec, Maine. TAFFY came to the rescue with her 3 kittens, Smokey, Stormy and Pixie. She is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, monthly preventatives and microchipped. She has an estimated date of birth of 18 June 2020 and at the time of spay surgery on 8 July 2021, weighed 6.60 pounds. We cannot say for sure what breed she is, so we expect families to do their own research on her look and size and decide what breed you think she is and if you have the lifestyle suitable for his needs. TAFFY has been at the rescue for 7 months (January 2022) and has settled in great. She is such a very sweet gentle girl, who is non-imposing. She is happy to hang out with the other cats and is often cuddling with her son STORMY, but she is also content chilling out on her own, either in one of the cat boxes, or on one of the tree perches. She is very affectionate, but will wait until you go to give it, rather than coming to demand it. She is not phased by the dogs, but if they are getting too pushy she will just move to where they can't reach her. We are looking for a family that has time for a young cat and understands that cats can live on average for 13-14 years, however, it is not uncommon for cats to live over 25 years and so this is a long term commitment. Families must be prepared to provide cat trees and stimulation toys for the cats to play with and provide a healthy, mentally stimulating and fulfilling life. All cats are fed a variety of wet and dry food, which varies in brands. They have clumping cat litter, but again varying brands and types from the clay to the more environmental friendly ground shells and such. They do not seem to be fussy! ALL cats are available for adoption for an adoption fee of $100 This fee is not negotiable and is used to cover the rescue costs of pulling, vetting, health certificate, transport from Texas, or other locations, countries to Maine, monthly preventatives, supplements, food, general day to day cost of running a brick and mortar rescue and anything else that is needed. Canadian adopters need to know that customs charge 15% taxes when entering into Canada. Due to borders being closed, it is up to families to call the US and Canadian borders to find the current details on border crossing. Animal Welfare is deemed essential in the US, but quarantine rules entering back into Canada must be followed. If you feel that you have the heart and home to give this precious soul a wonderful life, please go to our website, under the ADOPTION INFO tab, complete, then submit the APPLICATION. Our process takes around 1-2 days, and ensuring your references are aware that we will be calling, could speed up the process. Once you have been approved, we discuss any questions in regards to the dog you are wanting to adopt, then we can schedule your appointment to come to the rescue in Sebec, Maine for meet/greet/adopt Please do NOT submit an application if you are not looking to take home a new best friend within the next few weeks. https://www.giveadogahome-sanantonio.org/forms/form?formid=6368 ALL cats are LOCATED AT THE RESCUE IN SEBEC, MAINE.
