Otis Chihuahua Male 6 years old 15 lbs. Hi! I'm Otis and I'm looking for an amazing family who can love me always! I am just the sweetest, cutest little dude and I can't wait to find a family who loves every bit of me. I've had a lot of change in my life recently and I'm so ready to settle into a forever home where I can just flourish! I'm such a special little guy and I've made so much progress in building confidence overall! My foster parents have said it's just been so amazing to have a pup who was initially really unsure and is now just doing so amazingly well! I now follow my foster parents around the house and I do an adorable happy dance when they come home. I'm feeling much more comfortable with affection from my foster parents (I love getting scratches under my chin and gentle pets!) but I'm still a bit of a work in progress with feeling 100% comfortable with lots of affection. So a family who can give me time and patience to completely warm up is so important and I will show my gratitude in little wins of confidence building each and every day! Since I am still learning to trust, I need to be in a home without young kids as I just need a quieter home overall. I LOVE the company of other dogs and I think having another friendly dog in my forever home would help me a ton with my continued confidence building. I enjoy their companionship and like having little buddies around. I haven't met a cat yet so I can't share how I would do with a cat friend but I'd likely be ok with a dog-friendly cat and a slow transition. I have made significant progress in feeling comfortable on leash and I now enjoy going for my daily walks! I have an adorable little prance and it's just the cutest. I can still be a bit nervous on leash, especially around loud noises, so I need a family who can ensure I'm always safely on leash and I do think I'd enjoy having a secure yard to have off leash time too. But if you're willing to be super patient with me in the first few weeks in my home, I could do just fine in an apartment situation once I feel comfortable with you and a leash as well. If you have room in your heart and home for me, please email my friends at PawsCo at [email protected] or check out this information page: https://pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. Thank you so much!
