We've found a 8 weeks kitten who has had a FeLV positive test. Vet explained that at this age, a positive result is not definitive, and that he'll have to re-test in 60 days. As I understand, he has the potential to live a happy (albeit) short life in a house where he is an only cat. He currently shows no symptoms, he's just a very high energy little kitten that loves to play and has a great appetite. He is very social and his purr engine activates whenever he's around people. However, because we have 2 cats with chronic health issues, he's isolated in a room and alone most of the day. We visit him throughout the day but he looks so sad when we leave... We think he deserves more than we can give him. He uses a litter box and has been treated for fleas and other parasites with Revolution. He had his first round of kitten vaccines. We can provide food, toys, blankets or anything else needed to make him comfortable in his new home.
