King is a 3 yr old schnauzer/chi mix that weighs 15 pounds. He was surrendered after his owner became homeless. At first, a relative tried to care for King but when King growled at her, she put a shock collar on him and repeatedly shocked him. He is now more terrified than ever. Once he came into rescue, it took a week before I could touch him to remove the shock collar. King needs a quiet home where he will be given the time & space to feel safe again. A small 1 or 2 person household. No children! He is very excited to meet other dogs. A little too excited. Most dogs can't handle his enthusiasm. He would need a very slow introduction to other dogs or be the only dog in a home. He hasn't had any issues with cats but it's usually up to the cat to decide if they'll accept a new dog in their home. King gets very protective of what he loves. He is a bite risk if not handled properly. He is young, playful and overall sweet but he has been traumatized and needs the right, experienced home to help him thrive. Send us a message to be this boys guardian angel. Thank you!
