About Lani

Lani is a 2yr old black mouth cur mix who is currently being fostered in NYC. While Lani has made a lot of progress in her foster home these past two months, she would benefit from a foster re-placement outside of NYC. The stress of the city is too much for her- this girl was born to have a yard and grassy areas to run in! Although initially shy, Lani loves people, and gets especially attached to her 'person'. She loves to cuddle in bed or on the couch, and will demand belly rubs from anyone who will give them. She is very playful, loves to play fetch and go on long walks. She would be a great hiking, biking or running partner! Lani is a model dog inside the home- she doesn't destroy furniture, is potty trained, has no bite history or history of resource guarding and joyfully accepts all handling. She listens extremely well to basic commands, and has proved her intelligence quickly learning new ones in her foster home! Lani would do best with a foster who has experience with dog /leash reactivity and can continue teaching her leash manners. She needs to be the only dog in the home at this time.
