About Leo

Leo had a rough start. He was living in a feral colony. His caretaker had to move into a nursing home and the 20 cats living outside at her house had to find homes elsewhere because the house was being sold. Feral Cat Rescue over time was able to move the cats in pairs to other appropriate outdoor locations. Leo was the exception however. Unlike the other cats living there that had to be trapped to be moved Leo just let our volunteer pick him up and put him in a carrier. He moved into my house and was shy at first. There are a lot of other cats that he needs to compete with to get attention. My own personal cats usually claim my lap. I think he would love to have lap of his own. Whenever I sit down he comes over to the side of my chair and puts his two front paws up on the arm of the chair so I will pet him. When I go to bed, he always jumps up and wants to be petted and he likes to sleep with me. Because he is an adult, we can do a trial adoption. If you give him some time I know he will warm up to you. The vet estimated that he was born in November of 2014. I hope someone will give him a chance. He really is a sweet fellow. He sometimes goes to the California Petco for adoption events on Saturdays and Sundays.
