About Bronx (FKA Chompa) 004

Location: Portsmouth, Ohio. (3yrs old) Bronx is the absolute sweetest 3 1/2 year old Great Dane you would ever meet! Bronx LOVES to cuddle and rest his head right on his persons lap when resting/relaxing, Bronx also loves to go on walks, he LOVES his walks! Bronx is being rehomed due to no fault of his own. Bronx' current family that adopted him found out 6 weeks after getting him that they were expecting TWIN GIRLS! They had to do a lot of life changing since that day and have been very busy getting their household ready for two babies. Bronx was recently 'baby tested' with his adopters 5 month old niece who is very active, loves to coo and of course cries. Bronx did not like her sounds and would growl and would keep his distance when she was 'happy', when she would cry, he wanted to be right up in her face, sniff her and I would have to crate him because he was so adamant about her getting away from me due to her crying. Bronx also has issues with accidents. If left longer than 3-4 hours alone, he will inevitably have an accident or two for you to clean up. Bronx loves to sleep in bed with his person! Right now, being that I am very pregnant, Bronx has slept every night with my husband but has recently slept on the couch overnight with one time being let out throughout the night. Bronx is crate trained. He sometimes whines when he is crate occasionally if he knows something is going on in the house that he wants to be in the know about, but he will not chew, dig or try to escape from his crate. If anything, he lies down. Bronx has to be introduced SLOWLY to other people and animals. Bronx will bark loudly at 'strangers' until he gets to know them. He always wants to jump and play with the dogs we come in contact with on walks, but they don't reciprocate the same playful as what Bronx does. He has never been around another dog since we have had him (January of this year) but he has never shown aggression to any dog, we have two cats in the house with him and he isn't bothered by them at all. Bronx also gets triggered by people knocking on our front door, sometimes he reacts to the doorbell, sometimes he doesn't. Bronx has separation anxiety. He loves to be wherever you're at ALL the time! He panics if he cannot see you from room to room. If you were to walk outside without him, you will definitely hear him barking for your attention. Bronx loves car rides and is the perfect companion to take anywhere and everywhere with you! We definitely want to keep in close contact to whoever adopts Bronx.
